This was supposed to become a luxury town in Taiwan, but due to many accidents and rumours of the site being haunted, people were not eager to move in. The structures stayed abandoned until 2010 when they were finally demolished. Here is Wikipedia article. At the time of this post, Google Maps still shows the houses, but the street view does not.
