I used to live in Lucerne back in the mid 70s to mid 80s. On Barstow rd across from the elementary school. On many occasion there would be military jets flying low in between the bases. They would come over the “mountains” drop to the valley floor and break the sound barrier over our house. I’m sure they used this target .
