That is not a church, it is a little building (no more than 1 mt tall) called “animita”, some sort of tomb without a body that is raised up generally by the bereaved and that remembers the place where some loved one died (so it is not in the graveyard, but in the very site of the death).
Note that very close, near this thing, there is a road.
Probably this person died in a car crash or another event that happened in that road and his family put this “little church”, but the safe body was buried in a cemetery, cremated or arranged in some place permited by and as the law requires, cause
It is a very common tradition in Chile to build this “animitas” (generally decorated with Christian forms and symbols) when the death of someone has been tragic and or happens in a public place.
