It may be confusing but these furnaces are now a part of University of Luxembourg, Institute of Science and Technology. Luxembourg was not always a wealthy country but they were rich on iron ore. During its peak, almost 3000 men were working on these furnaces. Furnaces were closed in 1997 and they became part of the university.
