This is the White Sands bombing site for nuklearbombs.

This is the Nevada Test sight. What you are seeing (in most) is the slump in the ground from under ground nuclear testing. If you do a GE search for Sedan Crater … you should find it close by to the north … This was an above ground nuclear test on July 6, 1962 … 37 10’36.60′ N 116 02′ 47.62″ W. Sorry I did not feel like doing the conversion.
